Trump’s Muslim Travel Ban

According to several studies, immigration declined greatly during the Trump Administration, due to the restrictions the President signed into effect, like the “Muslim Ban”, for instance. Another reason for the decline in immigration to the U.S. was the Corona Virus Pandemic. Travel bans put a huge hamper on immigration, for obvious reasons.

Now, all of that is set to change with the Biden Administration calling for the Pathway to Citizenship Bill to pass. President Biden’s new proposals, if passed in congress, will overturn many of the restrictions put in place by Former President Donald Trump.

Humanitarian Changes To Trump’s Policies

He is also planning to put a halt to the building of “The Wall”, as well as lifting the Muslim Travel Ban. People seeking asylum in the U.S. will be given greater consideration for citizenship.

The purpose of this order was to protect young, undocumented children who were brought into the United States illegally, from deportation.  On Sept. 5, 2017, President Trump signed an Executive Order ending DACA.  Decisions were subsequently rendered by the Supreme Court in 2020, reversing the President’s order to repeal DACA.
